Alpha India Mike
I see you there, I know you can see me.
Why won't you talk to me?
We haven't spoken in years, I realize.
But I mattered to you once upon a time.
Has it been so long since we last met?
Ten long years apart we have spent.
I never knew before but did I offend?
What caused you to flee from my side?
I recall your laugh, your warmth.
The way you made me feel.
Love flowed freely between us,
In the expanse between day and night.
Every tear, every beer
Every broken dream.
Every cheer, every "dear"
Every happy keen.
Gone now, gone away.
Swept under the sands of time.
I still keep you on the list,
The one I rarely check anymore.
Hopefully I'll have the courage,
To reach out to you once again.
For now I shall watch until you go idle,
And gently weep as the portal between us again shuts down.

Howdy! I like your verse ~ how are things in the capital city?
SOS here in 'Spurs' country; round 2 begins Saturday. Every victory means free coffee the next morning @ the Valero joint. These days, free is awesome.

Heya, BA! :)
Things are busy as usual up here in Austin. Getting through May until summer comes around, which I'm always looking forward to!
Not kidding about free = awesome. We can all use a little free in our lives, especially during these troubled times.
Are you ready for summer? How did your passengers fare this year?
